Summary of Minutes of Management Committee Meeting held on 19.9.16
Budget on track for £11,000 underspend as planned. £20,000 to be spent this term on upgrading Wi Fi, purchase of 16 iPads and 34 laptops.
Premises, Health & Safety
Intruder alarm has been replaced.1.8m fencing around playground and entrance to school field has been installed.
County Health & Safety audit carried out in May 2016. Awarded ‘Grade A’ compliance. Outstanding matters to be addressed this term.
Policies for review circulated to all governors for discussion at FGB meeting on 26 September.
HT and Chair are enrolled on relevant updating training this term. Development Governor will identify training requirements of all governors at FGB meeting.
Helen Milne is working on School Travel Plan update this term.
New part time bursar in place. New full time Yr R teacher. Helen Milne going on maternity leave at Christmas and caretaker is retiring at the end of term. HT has advertised for replacements.
Sarah Winkleman (Community Governor) is due her first baby and has resigned.
HT has Performance Management Review on 26 September. All staff PM reviews to be organised this term.
Governors present supported Bucks Pay proposal for teachers to be endorsed by FGB
Complaints by parents of dogs being tied too close to school entrance or not on a lead. Middle railings to be marked for dog holding. HT to advise in parents newsletter.
Summary of the Governor’s Curriculum Committee held on Monday 12th September 2016
Present: 5 governors

Simon Williams has taken over the position of Chair of this committee.
Vicki Gray was welcomed on to the committee as the new staff governor.
Governors were given an update on the curriculum by Vicki Gray and Cathy Gouldstone.
KS1 will be following the agreed planning programme. KS2 curriculum will have a balance of more formal learning plus WOW factor. All classes will do a ‘cold writing’ piece every half-term to be used for assessment. This term it will be based on ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.
Yr 3/4 will visit Forest School once every half-term.
Teacher training in September included learning walks, health and safety updates and an assessment review.
Governor visits planned for this term include science, maths, SEN, Early Years, music and languages.
Quotes for IT resources are being obtained by Vicki Gray from Google and Apple.
IMPACT: Library and ‘pod’ to be fully utilised this term. Positive school results discussed. Positive start to the new school year. Still some issues with access to the website for updating information.
