Dear Parent/Guardian,
Playground shed
We are really grateful to the PTA for providing the funding for a new playground shed- the old one was in quite a sorry state! Thanks also to Steve Parslow who has put it together for us. We will hopefully be able to restock it with new resources for the children to use at playtimes. Please note that the equipment is for the use of the children at playtimes. Please can younger siblings not be allowed to take things from the shed at the end of the day.
Sports Day
Sports Day is planned for Friday 28th June. We will start the activities as soon after 1pm as we can.
The PTA will be serving refreshments from 12.30pm and Monkshood coffee will also be there. We would be really grateful for some contributions of cakes for the refreshments. Please let us know if you can help bake.
Year 5/6 production
The year 5/6 production will be held on Tuesday 16th July and Thursday 18th July at 6.30pm. Tickets are available to buy on Parentpay at £2.50 each and you can order up to 2 tickets per performance in the first instance. The PTA will be serving refreshments during the interval on both evenings.
Celebration assembly
Our celebration assemblies are now in full swing. We have a crèche for younger children to attend so that they don’t disturb the worship time. Everyone is welcome to join us but please try not to arrive before 2.35pm for a 2.40pm start so that we can prepare the hall and get the children settled. The children from each class will share some of their current learning. The dates for this are: 21st June- Y5/6, 28th June-sports day, 5th July- Y1/2, 12th July- Y3/4, 19th July- YR.
Inset day
The Inset days for next academic year have been set as Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd September 2019, Monday 6th January 2020, Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st July 2020. Also please note that the May Bank Holiday has been changed to Friday 8th May 2020.
Whole school science day
We are really pleased that we have been able to arrange the whole school trip to the new innovation centre in Oxford. This is a great opportunity to access hands on science both indoors and outdoors. Please can you make sure you go on to Parentpay and complete the consent forms and payment for the coach. There is an additional form from Science Oxford which they need for photographic consent. This also needs to be completed and sent back to school.
Mornings
Thank you for encouraging your children to come into school independently it is really helping the teachers to have a smooth start to the day with the children, and helping the children to be able to access their spaces easily.
Food allergies
Please note we have pupils in school with nut allergies. Please avoid sending nuts or nut products into school.
