Newsletter 27th March

Dear Parent/Guardian
Congratulations to the KS1 and KS2 dance teams who performed in the Dance Festival finals on Monday 25th March. Both teams did really well and we are very proud of them. The KS1 team achieved 2nd place.
We have recently received some complaints from local residents about the inconsiderate parking around the church. Not only does this cause problems for the people in the village, but also for the school bus which often cannot get up to school due to parents’ cars. Sadly it appears that when parents have been challenged about this the villagers have been upset by the responses they have received. Please do not park by the church at the beginning or end of the day.
The next edition of the school newspaper will be on sale after school next Wednesday 3rd April and Thursday 4th April. There will be a stall on the playground and the paper will sell at a price of 50p.
School photographs
These will be coming home today.
PTA Family Fun Fest
The school building on this site is 50 years old this academic year. We are celebrating “50 years on the hill” with an exhibition of old photos and memorabilia alongside the family fun day on Saturday 18th May. We hope that many staff and pupils, past and present will join us to celebrate. Please spread the word so that we can get as many people together as we can on the day.
Celebration assembly
Our celebration assemblies are now in full swing. We have a crèche for younger children to attend so that they don’t disturb the worship time. Everyone is welcome to join us. The children from each class will share some of their current learning, the dates for this are 29th March- year 1/2, 5th April- Easter Service in church, 26th April-YR, 3rd May-Y3/4, 10th May- Y5/6, 17th May- Y1/2, 24th May- inset day.
We have had a few cases of headlice in school recently. Please can you ensure that you check your child’s hair regularly and treat if necessary.
Please can you ensure that dogs are not brought onto the school site and that they are kept on leads outside the school. Please tie them up away from the gate so that children can enter and exit easily.
