Newsletter 5th December

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Christmas Bazaar
The PTA Christmas Bazaar will be held on Saturday 15th December from 11am-1pm. There will be stalls and refreshments and of course Santa will be here in his grotto. We are having a mufti day in school on Friday 7th December when the children in reception, year 1 and year 2 are asked to bring in sweets or chocolates and children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 are asked to bring in a bottle for the tombola stalls at the bazaar. If you have any unwanted items which could be used in the “secret gift” room or the raffle, then please send them into the school office. In order to make this event a success we will need some helpers to man the stalls, just for an hour, or even half an hour if we get enough offers. Please contact the school office if you think you could help in this way.
Maths posters
Many thanks to Steve Parslow for putting up the maths posters around the playground. They have certainly brightened up the area. These were bought with the contribution which was given to the school in memory of Janet Long who was a long serving member of our governing body and local community.
Coffee morning
We would like to invite parents and friends to an informal Christmas coffee morning on Friday 14th December from 8.45-9.45am.
Governing Body
We are looking for a new parent representative to join the board of governors. If you are interested in the role or would like any more information please contact the school office. The Governors would like to send their thanks to those people who responded to their question regarding the parents information evenings and reports. This was discussed at last night’s meeting and any changes will be implemented in due course.
School uniform
Should you wish to purchase any items of uniform over the Christmas break, the Bucks Schoolwear shop will be closed between 17th and 26th December and on 1st January.
Food allergies
Please note we have pupils in school with nut allergies. Please avoid sending nuts or nut products into school or in lunch boxes.
