Welcome back to a new school year, we hope you have had an enjoyable summer break.
The children are all very smart in their school uniforms and I hope that this standard will be maintained. We want all pupils to adhere to the uniform policy which includes blue, black or white socks and black or navy shoes.
Meet the teachers evening
On Monday 18th September we are holding an information evening for all parents at 6pm -7pm. Each teacher will be there to talk briefly about what their class will be covering this year along with any specific information for the class. You will also have the opportunity to visit the classrooms and speak to the teachers individually if you require. This is a good way of finding out about what the whole school has to offer as well as meeting the staff. We hope that you will be able to attend.
The school will be open from 8.45am, and the playground will be supervised from this time. Children can go into class from 8.45am to start morning tasks, and must be in school by 8.55am when the playground gates will be locked. Please leave your child on the playground and they can go to their classrooms. Please do not go into the classrooms in the morning as the teachers will be working with the children. If you have a message for the teacher, please tell the member of staff on the gate or email the office. If you wish for your child to be in school before 8.45am they may attend the morning club which runs every morning from 7.45am. The cost is £3.00 per child per session. Please ask in the office for more information.
All classes will run enrichment sessions from 9.00am until 9.15am each day. If you could help at this time, any day, or at any other time during the week with reading or other activities please can you let your class teacher know. We would love for parents to be involved in the school with the children’s learning.
Everyone is welcome to attend our celebration assemblies, where we celebrate children’s successes both in and out of the classroom. Each class will take it in turns to share some of their learning. This will be on Friday afternoons at 2.40pm-3.00pm and will start next week. The dates on which the classes will be sharing their learning are; 15/9- Y1 and 2, 22/9- YR, 29/9- Y3 and 4, 6/10- Y5 and 6, 13/10- Harvest service, 20/10- Y1 and 2. It is important however, that visitors do not park their cars near to the school or in the school car park
