Topic Web Spring 2018
Learning Logs will come home on a Thursday and need to be returned to school by the following Wednesday. Please remember that homework can be completed in any form you choose and encourage your children to be as independent and creative as possible.
We will be having times tables tests every Monday and the children will record which times table they are currently working on in the back of their Learning Logs. Poetry Recitals and Country of the Week presentations will not continue – instead the children need to practise reading and spelling the Y3/4 Common Exception Words. These words can be found on the Y3/4 webpages.

It is essential that your child has their reading book and yellow reading journal with them EVERY DAY in school. Children may be reading from the school reading scheme or may now be responsible for choosing their own reading book either from the class book corner or from home. Reading with your child is vital and it’s best to read little and often, so try to put aside some time for it every day.
Year 3 & 4 reading journal prompts
Our science topics are, States of Matter where through a large range of simple practical enquiries the children investigate how materials can change from one state to another, and Electricity where the children will learn all about electrical circuits and test different materials’ ability to conduct electricity. Use these websites below to help you learn more about these scientific topics.
