Dear Parent/Guardian,

Beginning and end of day

Please do not drive up to school at the beginning and end of the school day. As we are using both school entrances and everyone is having to socially distance we need to ensure that there is no unnecessary traffic around the school for everyone’s safety.

Contact/medical information

If there are any changes to your contact details such as phone numbers or email addresses, or your child’s medical information please can you advise the office ASAP. We need to be able to contact you should there be an emergency or to be able to take the correct actions should they become unwell.

Holidays

As you know we have a policy regarding any term time absences. Holidays are not authorised and will be reported to Buckinghamshire Council according to their guidelines. We have been asked by Buckinghamshire Council to remind you that you need to be very mindful about taking holidays abroad in half term as COVID-19 cases are rising in many countries and many days of education will be lost if you have to self-isolate on your return. We are working very hard to help children to catch up on lost learning time and any further missed time will be even more detrimental.

Governors

We are very pleased to let you know that Katherine Du Plessis will be joining our Governing Body. We do now have an additional vacancy as Tim Buckley has come to the end of his term of office on the Governing Board. We would like to thank Tim very much for his support of the school and his role in developing links with the community. If you are interested in supporting the Governing Body, or would just like some more information regarding the role, please get in touch with us.

Macmillan cake sale

Thank you to everyone who supported the cake sale. It was a shame we could not hold the coffee morning as usual but we did raise £95-56.

Food allergies

Please be mindful that we have children in school with nut allergies. We ask that you do not put items with nuts or nut products into lunchboxes. Any break time snack which KS2 children bring must be fresh fruit or vegetables.

Easy Fundraising

Please remember that if you are ordering online many companies will donate a percentage of the cost to our school if you go through Easyfundraising. It is at no cost to you but benefits the school. Go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk

Harvest

Unfortunately we will be unable to hold our Harvest Service in Church or hold a whole school celebration, however each class will take part in a Harvest reflection time during next week. We would like to make a collection of foods for the foodbank as we did last year as their service is in great demand due to the current crisis. Please send in non-perishable goods such as tinned meat, fish, rice pudding, dried foods such as rice, pasta, cereals etc. during the w/c 5th October. We will put boxes for donations by the school entrances.
