Newsletter 21.10.20

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Sadly at the end of this week Mrs Mandy Putman is leaving her role in the school office and moving to a job at a local secondary school. She has only been with us a short while but we will miss her. Mrs Laura Wragg will continue to run the office singlehandedly until we are able to make another appointment. Mrs Gill Little will also be leaving us at Christmas to take a well deserved retirement. She has been working at the school for 33 years and we will miss her greatly. Mr Du Plessis will take up the role of midday meal supervisor after half term and will help us to get the hot meals up and running soon.

Parents’ evenings

Please make sure that you return your parents’ evening appointment requests ASAP. We need to plan these evenings very carefully in order to keep everyone safe but to give everyone the opportunity to have a meeting with the class teachers.

Smartie tubes

Thank you to everyone who has returned their Smartie tubes. If you still have one to send in with some 20ps then please return it by the end of the week.

Music lessons

As you may know we have peripatetic music lessons running in school. We currently offer, guitar, woodwind and piano. If your child is interested in taking up a musical instrument please message the school office and we will provide you with the details of the music providers.

Amazon Wish List

We are in the process of setting up a wish list on Amazon of books and resources which we are in need of. Once we have it set up we will send an email so that, should you wish to, you can purchase some resources for the school.

Poppy Appeal

We will be selling poppies in school after half term. Should your child wish to buy one please send some money in an envelope with their name on.

Easy Fundraising

Please remember that if you are ordering online many companies will donate a percentage of the cost to our school if you go through Easyfundraising. It is at no cost to you but benefits the school. Go to

Food allergies

Please be mindful that we have children in school with nut allergies. We ask that you do not put items with nuts or nut products into lunchboxes. Any break time snack which KS2 children bring must be fresh fruit or vegetables.
