Dear Parent/Guardian,

Welcome back to a new school year, we hope you have had a restful summer break.

It is so lovely to see the school full with all year groups back and all looking very smart in their school uniforms and I hope that this standard will be maintained. We want all pupils to adhere to the uniform policy which includes blue, black or white socks and black or navy shoes.

Many thanks for the kind messages we have received following the sad passing of Caroline Carter.

Meet the teachers evening

This was planned for Monday 14th September, however due to the current climate we will not be running this face to face. Information will be sent home via email from each class teacher and also put onto the class page on the website. We are disappointed not to have been able to hold this meeting, and also we are unable to hold celebration assemblies.

Morning arrangements

Thank you so much for following the guidelines for the beginning and end of days. Please make every effort for your children to be in school on time. If you have a message for the teacher at the beginning of the day, please tell the member of staff on the gate or email the office. If you wish for your child to be in school before 8.45 they may attend the morning club which runs every morning from 7.45am. The cost is £3.00 per child per session. Please book with the office at least 24hr in advance if you wish your child to attend.

We are really pleased to welcome 3 new members of staff. Mrs Lucie Price- Y5/6 teacher, Mrs Karen Hunter- TA, and Mrs Laura Wragg- finance officer.

If anyone is interested in the position of midday meals supervisor 11.30am-1.45pm daily and/or morning club supervisor please contact the school office.

Individual photographs

The school photographer will be coming into school to take individual and family group photographs on Wednesday 9th September. Unfortunately they are unable to offer the family groups which include any preschool children.

Forest school

We will be running the forest school sessions every week on site for the time being, and will notify you of any changes when we have plans to return to the Sportsfield site.

We currently have a vacancy on the Governing Board. If you are interested in supporting the school in this way, or would just like some more information regarding the role, please get in touch with Mrs Gouldstone or Mrs Kent.

Jeans for Genes

Friday 18th September is Jeans for Genes day. Pupils are able to wear jeans and their own choice of sensible shoes, but please keep school jumpers and polo shirts as usual. A contribution of £1 is suggested to support the charity.
